What: Let's play Solstice: a folk horror role playing game about small town mentality, shame, and burning someone alive to bring back the sun.
When: Thursday 19th December 2024 from 6:30PM-9:30PM
Cost: £12 purchase of zine gets you free entry to the event! If you already have the zine or don't want to take one home this will act as a deposit which we can refund on the night. See below for details.

Join us at the approach of the longest night of the year, Thursday the 19th of December for a play through of Solstice with the game’s creator, Tanya Floaker.
In Solstice, everyone plays young adults compelled by the social expectation to compete to be “The Chosen of the Solstice” - the person assigned to burn alive inside a giant Wicker Man. Solstice is perfect for fans of folk horror which is grounded in social realism - a brilliant blend of The Wicker Man, Midsommar and Twin Peaks. Suitable for newcomers as well as experienced TTRPG players.
About Tanya: Tanya Floaker is a queer activist and game designer based out of Edinburgh, Scotland. They have written “Solstice” out of inspiration from their time growing up in Perth, Scotland and drawn on cult folk-horror stories and films.
BYOB (bring your own beverages) and snacks. We have tea and biscuits available as well.
Ticket details and fine print:
The cost of the ticket is £12. This gets you a copy of the Solstice Zine to be collected on the evening of the event, and also acts as a deposit to secure your seat at the table. If you already have a copy of the Solstice zine or prefer not to take one home, we can initiate a refund when you arrive at the event on the 19th of December. This refund can take up to 7 days to go through. Can't make it? No problem! Just be sure to cancel your booking at least 24h in advance so someone else can join! If you do not show up, or if you cancel within 24h, you are not eligible for a refund. If we do not receive the minimum number of sign-ups, we may need to cancel the event, in which case you will have the option collecting your copy of the zine or receiving a refund for the £12.

Cancellations: Information for workshops and readings
- Cancellations for a workshop or reading communicated via email or phone more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of a workshop or reading are not eligible for a refund.
- Absences and late arrivals for a workshop or reading are not eligible for a refund, and will be considered cancellations subject to the cancellation and refund policies.
